Stop stressing about food and your body.

Break the all-or-nothing mentality once and for all.

GET . YOUR . LIFE . BACK

Its all starts here!

Let’s talk about how we’re going to make that happen through our unique binge eating program and emotional eating coaching program.

The 4-Month Group Coaching Program for Binge Eating, Emotional Eating, and/or Chronic Dieting with Michelle Yates, MS, RD, LMNT

Take a moment to imagine this…

It’s 1 year from now:

  •  You’re looking back IN AWE at who you’ve become.
  • That package of Oreos you bought 6 months ago is still there. 🍪
  • You haven’t eaten in secret in months.
  • You’re enjoying yourself at parties and jumping into all of the pictures. 📸
  • You’re spending your time:
    • 🏃‍♀️ Running and playing with the kids
    • 🍦 Enjoying spontaneous trips to get ice cream
    • 🔥 Excelling in your career now that you can focus on it and have more energy
    • 💕 Having fun with your man (ifyouknowwhatimean)

…and the best part? 💫

  • You haven’t had a single guilty thought about food, nor have you shamed your body. You’re no longer looking for a binge eating coaching program because you don’t need it anymore.

You’re just… living your best life.

  • You’ve thrown out all the diet food you hated. 🗑
  • When someone says you’re beautiful you actually believe them.
  • Your love for food is still there, but you see it now as a source of fuel + occasional fun, not a source of comfort. Emotional eating (or any kind of overeating) is no longer a part of your everyday life.
  • When you see an ad for a new diet, you keep scrolling 📲 instead of getting sucked in.
  • The toxic “you’re fat and I hate you” voice in your head is gone. 🤯
  • And you just feel really, really good about yourself. 💋
  • So much so that thinking about wearing swimsuits literally doesn’t phase you ✋🏼 because you know without a shadow of a doubt you are able to wear them with confidence.

Can you picture it?

You’re in the right place if you struggle with

    any of the following:

    🤦🏻‍♀️

Constantly feeling guilty about what you ate – then eating (OR dieting only to binge later) to make yourself feel better.

    🍕

    Feeling addicted to food
, wondering if you’re a binge eater or emotional eater, or worried about the example you’re setting for your kids.

    🙅🏽‍♀️

Avoiding events because you can’t bear the thought of others seeing you, or because you are worried about the food that will be there.

    🥤

Trying EVERYTHING! Calorie counting, meal replacement shakes, macro tracking, every diet in the book, daily affirmations, even surgery?

    🕰️

Humiliated by how much food controls your life. You think about it all the time and wake up and literally asking your “is today my Day 1 or F it, and just eat like crap all day?

    🚮

Hiding food in the bottom of the bin, in the car, or at a gas station trash can to cover the evidence that (once again), you failed.

    🚫

Your avoiding leaving the house because you don’t want people to see you. You say no to going out to friends because you think they’ll be shocked by how much weight you’ve gained.

    🕊️

You KNOW what you need to do. You know you need to put myself first for the sake of your health.  You just want to feel freedom around food and not feel the need to binge.

    If you:

    • Emotionally overeat
    • Binge eat
    • You’re jumping from diet to diet
    • You obsess about food
    • Are ready to feel at peace in your body OR all of the above…

    You’re in the right place.

The dietitian behind Nourished & Free®️

    Hi, I’m Michelle

I was in the same place you’re probably in now.

I remember going into the kitchen every 5 minutes taking just 1 more slice off of the cake, only to realize I’d eaten 1/2 of it. I felt so much guilt for my lack of self-control.

My weekdays would be marked with perfect restriction (protein bars and black coffee everrrrrrry morning) and tons of cardio, only for the weekends to be a free-for-all… complete chaos, with an extra dose of shame on Sunday nights.

Every Monday, I’d ‘start over’, only to fall off the wagon before the week was over. I felt like my body hated me, and was working against me.

I kept saying the same things to myself that were making me miserable…

“Why can’t I just eat like a normal person?”

“I don’t want my relationship with food to rub off on my kids.”

    “I hate feeling like this.”

Michelle looking directly at camera sitting on counter stool with one leg extended

I realized that my lifestyle was lacking one of the most crucial elements in order to be truly healthy and flourishing: a simple, adaptable style of eating that I could rely on for the rest of my life and wasn’t focused on what I weighed.

It turns out that putting a stop to the diet-binge cycles wasn’t about willpower, or white knuckling.

It was about listening to what my body needed and realizing it was on my team 🤯

From there, I let go of my dream body to focus on what I had and how to be at peace with that.

I stopped hiding behind my insecurities and got crystal clear and confident about who I was, what I love, and what made me unique.

I got out of my own way, did the work to heal my relationship with food/body, and not only did my confidence grow but my quality of life skyrocketed.

I stopped listening to terrible advice about calories, macros, and portion sizes, and I listened to my own d*mn body so that my eating style could be simple, adaptable, and free from guilt all while nourishing my health & wellness desires.

Today, I use these experiences to help others in my coaching program for binge eating, emotional eating and chronic dieting.

Moral of the story, I get it.

    My Approach to Freedom

Don’t worry, I’m not one of those emotional eating coaches who is going to tell you to do exactly what I did “because it worked for me”…eeew!

Rather, I use my knowledge and expertise as a dietitian, food psychology expert PLUS an empathetic approach (because I do get it) to help you reach your goals in the way that works best for you.

My binge eating coaching program takes a unique approach involving 4 key elements:

    MINDSET

It’s essential that we rewire your thoughts around food/body so that you’re no longer repeating the same toxic patterns. I got my master’s degree in health psychology specifically so I could help you do this. When we skip this crucial step, we set ourselves up for failure.

    INTUITIVE EATING

Dieting is a huge predictor of binge eating & weight gain. Following a meal plan, tracking everything you eat… it just simply doesn’t work. At least it didn’t for you – and that’s why you’re here, isn’t it?

Together, we will master the art of having effortless self-control through my unique take on intuitive eating, mindfulness, and food wisdom (pssst: don’t worry if you’ve already tried intuitive eating coaching and it didn’t work: my clients all say that I have a unique way of teaching this that makes it incredibly easy to adopt).

When we keep relying on diets, meal plans, and other people to tell us how to eat – we will always want to rebel against it and binge in secret later.

    BODY IMAGE

It’s about time you feel good in your skin, don’t you think?

Everything you tried in the past revolved around weight loss, and all that did for you was create a toxic relationship with food and the scale (plus led to weight gain in the end). My approach recognizes that common denominator and removes it. Let’s strip away all the conditions you have about ‘I’ll feel good after I lose X amount of lbs’, and start working on creating confidence in yourself today.

I totally get it if you know you need to lose some # for your health, but if you don’t learn to accept your body for where it is now food will always be your #1 enemy and make it even harder to adopt healthy behaviors.

    HANDS ON SUPPORT & ACCOUNTABILITY

You’ve tried to figure it out on your own, but it’s gotten you nowhere. You’re ready for expert guidance, a support system, and people to check in and say, “hey how did you do with ___?”

I use a high-touch support approach so that you aren’t second-guessing or wasting precious time anytime. Not only do we have group coaching calls, but you get access to me (Michelle) M-F, plus the support of my team. Imagine having a support system in your back pocket, ready to instantly listen and work through things with you… sounds pretty magical, right? It is.

Let me guess…you’ve probably tried everything…

    • Every diet, program, and plan under the sun
    • A therapist
    • A nutritionist
    • A coach
    • Listened to every podcast
    • Read every book
    • Plus follow all the experts on social media
    • Maybe even tried surgery

Of COURSE you’d ask why this is different. And I’d love to tell you!

If you’re here, my guess is that you’ve never had:

A Registered Dietitian trained in eating disorders/disordered eating and health psychology who understands what you’re going through

+ Slack support from that very same Dietitian

+ Slack support from a body image Therapist

+ A whole community of women who are just like you, cheering you on

       + A proven, science-backed, robust online curriculum

+ Tools to help you coach yourself for the rest of your life instead of relying on someone else to tell you what to do

Nourished & Free has everything listed above, plus more. That’s why this is different.

    But does it WORK?

This unique process has been proven to work

      FAQ’s

      CLOSED TOGGLE
Why do I need to apply first?

The last thing I want is to waste your time, energy, and money. I can imagine you’re thinking the same thing. In order to make sure that doesn’t happen, I’d like to hear more about your story and be sure we are confident we can help you with where you’re at. If not, I’ll give you my best recommendations on what else to do moving forward.

How do I know this will work for me?

Let me guess: You’ve tried everything. It makes you sick how many things you’ve tried, and you don’t want this to be just. another. thing.

I get it. I don’t want it to be just another thing for you either.

Ironically, that’s what makes you the perfect fit for Nourished & Free. If you’ve tried everything and it hasn’t worked, that means there’s something deeper going on that hasn’t been uncovered yet. N&F is built to uncover whatever has been leading you to self-sabotage in the first few weeks. From there, the fun begins! We get to make changes for real that make your life easier rather than harder.

The process is tried and true. I have testimonials for days from women just like you. (Example 👇 )

But here’s where I have to be brutally honest with you: it WILL NOT WORK if you are not ready to put in the effort.
As much as I wish I could, I can’t wave a magic wand 🪄 and fix all your problems. There will have to be effort on your end AND mine in order to make this feel like a magic wand situation.

Me and the team are here to guide, educate, and support – but you do (of course) have to actually show up.

And just to be clear: you do not have to be perfect. We love debriefing when something didn’t go well because those are most powerful moments of growth.

Don’t let the fear of failure stop you from growing. Let the growth that comes from failure (I like to call it ‘feedback’) propel you forward into taking action.

Can I see some reviews from past clients?

Of course! Here’s a link to my Google reviews. I’ve also put together a page of video, podcast, and written testimonials here. Please, help yourself to looking through those! 😊

Here’s one of my favorite photos from a client:

      Will I lose weight?

Maybe! We are focused on the habits and behaviours in your life. If you have weight to lose, that may or may not happen within our 4 months together. Quite honestly, we have deeper things to tackle than just what the scale says.

I’m not against intentional weight loss per se, but if you’re here it’s likely because trying to lose weight has led you down a path that has brought you farther from a place of being happy and healthy.

When that’s the case, I personally think it’s a good idea to take some time and focus on other things.

In Nourished & Free, we’re establishing necessary habits and setting you up with a solid foundation for a lifetime of health (which will lead to a healthy weight for you).

Is there any 1:1 coaching in this program?

After running this program as a 1:1 experience, a group experience, and a hybrid of the two, what I have found that women need the most when it comes to their relationship with food is community. No longer feeling alone, stuck, or like they’re the only one who struggles.

Additionally, the growth is accelerated when you’re in a group of others who are on the same journey as you.

To see what I mean, check out these posts from N&F members:

I do believe our clients get the best results when they learn in groups alongside women doing it with them. In this model, you will get:

      • Personalized answers to your questions from the team in the group chat.

      • Our undivided attention if you have a question on our group calls.

      • Option to add on 1:1 time with Michelle at any time (extra charges apply).

Why not just go see a therapist?
Let me be clear: I am in FULL SUPPORT of anyone going to therapy. However, it is not a substitute for what we do inside of Nourished & Free. My clients often say they are able to heal in ways they never could from traditional therapy. This is because of my unique, food-psychology approach. Read what one of our members has said below:
Why not go to a local dietitian that takes my insurance?

I used to work in an office that took insurance. Ultimately, the results paled in comparison to the results of going through N&F. Insurance only covered 1-3 sessions, if that, and that wasn’t nearly enough time or support for working through the restrict-binge cycle, emotional overeating, and/or body image distress.

This experience packs about 1-2 years worth of seeing a dietitian taking your insurance into 4 months, plus provides you with tools/resources/teaching videos you can access for life, a community, and a body image therapist.

Regarding other dietitians who take insurance – I have nothing against them. The issue I typically see with our clients who try to explore that route is that those dietitians/nutritionists are typically not specialized or have experience in the ways they need to, and sometimes cause even more harm. Just like doctors have their specialties, so do we.

Additionally, you are getting an entirely different experience. With the traditional style of meeting with a dietitian who takes your insurance, you’re looking at 30 maybe 60 minutes 1-2 times a month and no communication in between. With Nourished & Free, you have a specialized dietitian and coach (Hi! that’s me!) in your back pocket 👖 for 4 months straight to chat with you all throughout the week. AND! You get a body image therapist as well. 2 professionals wrapped up into 1 container that are always available to you. 💪🏼

How involved are you in the program?
Extremely. I check for questions/respond to clients 1x/day. I hate the bait-and-switch programs where you don’t actually get to work with the person who you were excited to learn from.

As of 2023, I also have a therapist on the team available to you! She is a body image, disordered eating, and trauma guru. She’s AMAZING and I’m so glad she can support you in addition to me!
Couldn't I figure this out on my own?
If you could, why are you here now?
      When does it start?
Right away! As soon as you get signed up, your journey to food freedom begins.
I'm not big on group settings, especially since we are all starting at different times... how could this possibly be helpful?
I totally hear you. I wouldn’t run it this way if I didn’t feel like it was serving my clients. However, I find it is the MOST fruitful way to set things up! Listen to a previous N&F member who had these very same concerns, and how she ended up feeling after only 1 month in. 👇

How is this different from other courses and programs?
I personally have never seen anything that is the same as what we offer. Maybe it’s out there, I just haven’t seen it with my own eyes.

Not only is the content itself highly specialized and put together based on your needs, but you will never see a dietitian trained in health psychology and EDs PLUS a body image therapist made available to you all week long. You want support in your back pocket? You’ve got it. PLUS lifetime access to your program materials to review whenever you want. PLUS a group of amazing women who know exactly how you’re feeling and are here to support you.

Here’s what a member said in less than 1 week of joining:
Here’s what another member who was close to her finish date said:
Lastly, this process isn’t an “eat this not that, no matter how much it sucks”
program. Read what one member had to say about how N&F’s focus is much different than other programs:
Do I need to be a certain age to join?
You’re welcome to join us as long as you’re 18 years or older! We have had members ranging from 20-64 years old :)
I am really busy! How much time will this require?
Most of my clients are busy moms, working full time or even overtime, or something else is keeping them extremely busy.

They make it work by spending 20 mins popping a training into their bluetooth on their car ride, or sending me a voice note while they make dinner, etc.

If you can give me 15-30 mins/day, you will be my next success story!
Why hire a Registered Dietitian and not a 'nutritionist' or 'coach'?

You wouldn’t want an accountant as your surgeon, would you? So don’t hire someone that isn’t a nutrition expert (RD/RDN) and specialized in disordered eating/health psychology to help with your toxic relationship with food!

There is a MASSIVE difference between hiring a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a self-proclaimed ‘coach’* or ‘nutritionist’.

RD’s must complete a bachelor’s degree full of nutritional sciences and biological course work, complete an advanced degree, finish 1200 hours of supervised work, and then take a board exam with only a 50% pass rate. In addition, we are required to keep our credential through extensive continuing education.
We eat, sleep, and breathe nutrition, science, and professionalism (no pun intended).
ANYONE can call themselves a nutritionist or coach. There are no regulations behind that title at all. A ‘coach’ or ‘nutritionist’ can very well be somebody coaching off of their own experience, and someone who does not posses the knowledge needed to individualize your lifestyle choices.
Formal training and credentials are vital because what might work for one individual may be totally inappropriate, ineffective, or even harmful to another person. This is especially true when we’re talking about binge eating coaching.

*I call myself a coach, but I hold the credentials of a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist. Very different than the coaches who have no proper healthcare training or who took a 6 hour course online.

Can I hop on a call with you first?
I want to answer all your questions and make sure we vibe before you join, so you will be receiving voice notes from me (and at times, my team) during your application process. You are welcome (but not required) to send voice notes back! I will chat back and forth with you until you feel fully confident this is the program for you. Rather than trying to find a time that works for both of our schedules, you can respond whenever is convenient for you! BTW: This 1:1 conversation is complimentary.
How is this different from intuitive eating programs?

love how helpful intuitive eating can be for helping women heal from a disordered relationship with food. With that being said, I don’t agree with all components of it and find some elements are based on cherry-picked and misleading data. With that being said, I’m not 100% aligned with intuitive eating, but I do value it as a tool in combination with other things.
